Who has to attend?


All persons registered as the Representative of a FSP.

What is the exam based on?

The exam will test your knowledge, application and insight of the FAIS Act and the FIC Act. This includes the regulations, the Code of Conduct of the FAIS Act and certain bulletins.

What does the training entail?

You are required to attend a two day preparation workshop to enable you to understand what the exam requires of you in terms of specific outcomes that you will be assessed on. Upon registration and payment, you will be sent the complete workbook, in order to prepare you for the workshop. You are required to familiarise yourself with the FAIS Act, FIC Act, the General Code of Conduct of FAIS and certain Board Notices. For the convenience of IDA MEMBERS AND/OR FSP MEMBERS the relevant documents can be found under the Legislation heading if you log on to the IDA website.

It is the sole responsibility of the learner to ensure that you register with an examination body and pay them directly for the cost of the exam. The cost of the Exam is R 900.00 including vat
